Since the release of the revised terms and conditions on COVID-19, Arts & Leisure Tours is committed to monitoring and amending our approach to travel, providing travelers both flexibility and security.
We are offering a new flexible booking policy applicable for travel from September 1, 2020 to Dec 31, 2021 to all our new tailor- made packages only confirmed between June 1, 2020 and February 28, 2021.
As flexible as Arts & Leisure Tours is in relation to future travel, we highly recommend that clients take out comprehensive travel insurance; including “cancel for any reason” (where still available) to ensure any funds lost can be recovered.

All previous cancellation policies are null and void and will not be honored.
During this complicated time for the travel industry we want to reassure you that Arts & Leisure Tours is doing everything possible to support you in relation to the impact of COVID-19 on travel bookings.
We fully understand that this is a challenging time for everyone and we are trying our very best to keep up with the speed of this evolving disastrous situation.
For all departures from March 12, 2020 to December 31, 2020 in case of cancellation, payments received can only be put towards a credit for a future booking.
Arts & Leisure Tours must be notified in writing at least 30 days prior to the original scheduled departure.
Travellers will have 2 years from the cancellation date to use the travel credit towards the new trip.
The new trip must take place no later than November 30, 2022 and will be repriced accordingly.
Travellers will be responsible for any amounts owing should the trip exceed the credit amount.
NOTE: Travel credits are not applicable to villa and apartment rentals, non-refundable hotel bookings, train tickets and any other non refundable items which are subject to the supplier terms and conditions applicable at time of cancellation.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: All passengers who purchase one of the customized Arts & Leisure Tours’ packages proposals should carefully read and understand the terms and conditions governing them.
It is the responsibility of the Travel Agents to fully inform, explain and clarify the terms and conditions to their clients.
Although Arts & Leisure Tours has made every effort to ensure that the information, pricing and photographs contained in our proposals are accurate, the occasional error or change in circumstances may occur. Inclusions may be varied or withdrawn with or without prior notice.
Arts & Leisure Tours reserves the right to correct any errors or omissions and to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time as a result of any material changes to legislation, regulation or other circumstances. Such changes will be noted on www.artsandleisuretours.com.
All itineraries and tours are subject to availability at time of booking.
GENERAL CANCELLATION POLICY *
Packages and hotel bookings
All cancellations must be advised via email . Notification shall be deemed to have taken place on the date of receipt of such notification by Arts & Leisure Tours.
• 45 or more days prior to departure- fees will be determined based on several components of the package such as but not limited to: Non- refundable hotel bookings, entrance fees, train tickets and any other non- refundable items which are subject to terms and conditions of overseas suppliers applicable at time of cancellation.
• 44 to 21 days prior to departure 50% of trip cost
• 20 days or less prior to departure 100% of trip cost
* This general cancellation policy is applicable in most cases; however, we reserve the right to stipulate a different cancellation policy for specific bookings.
NOTE: Villa/Apartment properties, ferries and airfares will have different terms and conditions.
Cancellations received more than 3 days prior to departure – $50 per car or 10% of total cost whichever is greater.
Cancellations received less than 3 days prior to departure or no shows – $50 plus one day’s rental cost or 10% of total cost whichever is greater.
Unused days are non-refundable.

There will be no refund for unused services, hotel nights or unused portions of car rentals
Rate may not include mandatory road tax, service charges, and registration fees. Service fees may apply for all car rentals (except Italy) at airports, downtown & rail stations.
Fees are subject to change without notice. Drivers must have a valid driver license held for at least 2 years prior to rental. International driving permit is mandatory
AMENDMENTS & CHANGES TO BOOKINGS
Any revision to a customized package made after the initial confirmation of the booking will be subject to a $50.00 per person handling fee, in addition to any price increase that may affect the original confirmed price.
All arrangements are subject to availability at time of booking and revisions.
No revisions can be accepted within 21 days of departure, after documents have been issued or after trip initial departure date.
CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS: We accept: We accept Visa, Master Card and American Express.
Travel Agents making payment on behalf of a client must provide us with the cardholder’s information, including billing address, and ant additional data required by the credit card companies.
DEPOSIT AND FULL PAYMENT
A 30% deposit of the total package price is due upon confirmation of your land reservations.
The balance of the land package is due 45 days before departure date.
Some exceptions involving special events, conventions and holidays may require a higher deposit amount and, in some cases, FULL non-refundable payment will be required at time of booking.
The clients’ authorization to use their credit cards for payment indicates their compliance with all our booking terms and conditions.
Due to currency fluctuation, Arts and Leisure Tours has the right to increase the prices of any packages sold with paid deposit, if the increase is higher than 7% of the published price including hotel taxes and service charges, the passenger may cancel his/her holiday and receive a full refund, except if the price increase is a result of increased government taxes.
Vouchers, itineraries and other documents and information will be sent to the Travel Agent upon receipt of the full payment, and no later than 15 days prior to departure.
Guests should be aware that hotels and services vary according to different living standards in various countries. Hotels are classified by industry standards and local government ratings. Arts &Leisure Tours reserves the right to make substitutions with hotels of similar or higher ratings
Special requests made by the travel agent on the clients’ behalf for particular rooms, room location, bed types etc., are solely at the discretion of the hotelier or contractor. Arts & Leisure Tours will not be liable for any failure to accommodate or fulfill such requests.
LUGGAGE: One piece of luggage per person plus a carry on is included in the cost of all private transfers. It is the Travel Agents’ responsibility to advise Arts & Leisure Tours at time of booking that the clients will travel with more than one luggage per person. Failure to do so may result in extra charges for the clients.
TAXES AND SERVICE CHARGES
Arts & Leisure Tours package pricing includes mandatory hotel taxes and service charges.
LOCAL CITY TAXES
Local city taxes are NOT included in any Arts & Leisure Tours packages or hotel only bookings and must be paid locally by the client at each hotel.
City taxes are subject to change at any time.
Arts & Leisure Tours Packages do NOT include: Gratuities, items of a personal nature and items not specified in the customized itineraries.
Any special requirements must be disclosed to Arts & Leisure Tours at the time of booking.
Arts & Leisure Tours will use reasonable efforts to accommodate special requirements or requests, but this is not always possible given the nature of the destinations visited. Certain activities may be inaccessible if mobility is limited in any way.
All food allergies and dietary restrictions must be disclosed at the time of booking, but Arts & Leisure Tours cannot guarantee that dietary needs or restrictions can be accommodated and will not be liable for any failure to accommodate or fulfill such requests.
NOTICE TO TRAVELLERS
Travellers should be aware that different living standards and practices may exist outside of North America including but not limited to: provision of utilities, air conditioning, accommodations, services of all kinds, food and food preparation and water quality. Arts & Leisure Tours cannot be held responsible if these different living standard will not be up to the clients expectations.
PROPER TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION
It is the responsibility of the Travel Agent to advise the travelling party of the documentation necessary for travel to the chosen destination and for their return to North America. It is necessary that the Travel Agent be aware of the citizenship/nationality of all members of the travelling party to ensure they provide correct documentation requirement information.
All nations in Europe require passports to be valid for at least 6 months beyond the completion of travel or travelers will be unable to travel.
Arts &Leisure Tours cannot assume responsibility for carriers refusing passage or for failed entry into destinations due to incorrect documentation. Documentation requirements can change at any time without notice. Consult with the travel agent or local government websites.
No refunds will be allowed, nor Arts and Leisure Tours will reimburse any costs associated with documentation difficulties for any reason.
All passengers are STRONGLY recommended to take out sufficient travel insurance coverage to protect themselves against cancellation due to illness prior to departure or during travel.
In the event of a passenger becoming ill during travel, all hospital and medical expenses are the traveler’s sole responsibility and they shall not be entitled to any refund. Please discuss your travel insurance options with your Travel Agent to ensure adequate coverage prior to booking your tour.
No refunds for any unused services will be refunded for any reason.
Arts & Leisure Tours and/or its travel designers act only as agents for the client in all matters pertaining to travel including services pursuant and/or in connection with public tours, private tour and services described in our proposals.
Arts & Leisure Tours acts only as an agent in making arrangements with hotels, ground operations, car rental companies and other independent parties and thus cannot be held responsible for these suppliers’ acts or omissions.
The services provided are subject to the conditions imposed by these suppliers and their ability may be limited by their tariffs, condition of carriage, tickets, vouchers and international conditions and agreements.
Arts & Leisure Tours is not responsible for any loss, damage, illness, injury, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, anxiety, or fear from:
(A) The act, omission or negligence of any travel service supplier.
(B) Theft, strike, lockout, mechanical failure, governmental restrictions, weather conditions, loss or damage due to delay, cancellation, or disruption in any manner caused by the laws, regulations, acts or failures to act, demands, orders, or interpositions of any government or any subdivision or agent thereof, or by acts of God, strikes, fire, flood, war, rebellion, terrorism, insurrection, sickness, quarantine, epidemics, theft, or any other cause(s) beyond Arts & Leisure Tours control.
(C) The client’s failure to obtain and carry all the required documents, including visa, passport, tourist card, valid driver’s license and/or international driver license
(D) The client’s failure to adhere to schedules for missed flight connections.
(E) Personal injury or death.
(F) Unauthorized statements or acts or misinterpretations made by any travel agency or its employees relating to the standards, quality, services, and inclusions of the vacation packages described in our proposals.
NOTICE OF CLAIMS
During the trip, as soon as a problem related to Arts & Leisure Tours booking may arise, the traveler must immediately contact Arts & Leisure Tours’ 24 hours emergency numbers clearly stated on each voucher and itinerary given prior to clients’ departure.
The traveler will not be eligible to make any claims should they fail to call the emergency numbers and their travel agent in case of any problem or emergency.
Under no circumstances shall Arts & Leisure Tours be liable to the travelers for an amount in excess of the total amount paid to Arts & Leisure Tours for their vacation.
Arts & Leisure Tours reserves the right to update or alter these Terms & Conditions at any time and will post the amended Terms on the Tour Operator’s website www.artsandleisuretours.com.
Any amendment will take effect immediately and will be available to view online.
Arts & Leisure Tours recommends that clients and Travel Agents refer to the website Terms & Conditions for the most up-to-date version available.
DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY: Arts & Leisure Tours respects the clients’ privacy and is committed to protecting it. We collect and use data relating to travelers in order to deal with the query or complete the travel arrangements. This personal data will include clients’ name, date of birth, contact details and credit card details. We use the requested personal data to create the clients booking and process their payment.
Where relevant for the client’s booking, we may disclose the clients’ personal data to other organizations, such as transport providers, tour guides and hotels.
Credit card information is used internally only for payment processing and fraud prevention. It will not be held on file and the Travel Agent must call Arts & Leisure Tours with credit cards details every time a payment is applied to a booking
Credit cards information will only be accepted by phone and NOT in any written form (email or fax.)
LAW & JURISDICTION
If you booked your holiday in Canada, any claim or dispute arising from or related to Arts and Leisure Tours, will be governed by Canadian law and the courts of Ontario shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim arising out of it.
If you booked your holiday in the USA, any claim or dispute arising from or related to Arts and Leisure Tours USA will be governed by the law of the State of Illinois.
