Itinerary

Day 1 - Venice

Upon arrival to Venice Marco Polo Airport, you will be met by your driver who will transfer you to your hotel.

In the afternoon, meet your guide and enjoy a guided visit of the historical center of Venice. Your walk unfolds through the elegant Piazza San Marco, surrounded by the governmental buildings of the ancient Republic such as Doge’s Palace, the basilica bell tower and the famous clock tower. Enter the shining golden basilica of Saint Mark’s, one of the most incredible Christian buildings ever built. You’ll then walk through narrow streets to reach the Rialto Bridge, the site of a daily market where locals buy their fresh vegetables and fish. Overnight in Venice.

Day 2 - Venice

This morning make your way to the gondola station where you will board your own private gondola. You will enjoy a romantic “promenade” that will take you along the canals of Venice, through the city’s most secluded waterways and passing under small bridges. It is Venice at its best and how it was meant to be seen: from the water. Overnight in Venice.

Day 3 - Venice

Today, visit the islands of Murano and Burano. Meet your tour escort and depart from St. Mark’s waterfront by motor-launch to visit the Island of Murano famous for glass-making. Visit the workshop of a Maestro where you can watch the craftsman applying these old glass-blowing techniques. The next stop in your excursion is the picturesque Island of Burano. Last but not least, you’ll visit the Island of Torcello, the first settlement in the lagoon with its old Cathedral and quaint atmosphere. At the end of the excursion you’ll head back to St. Mark’s waterfront. Overnight in Venice.

Day 4 - Venice to Florence

After breakfast, meet your driver in the hotel lobby for your transfer to Venice Santa Lucia Station.

Upon arrival in Florence meet your driver and transfer to your hotel.

In the afternoon, meet your guide at the hotel and explore this magnificent city on foot. During your tour, you will enjoy the sights of the Cathedral, the Baptistery, and Piazza della Signoria just to name a few. The visit will continue to Ponte Vecchio which is not just the symbol of Florence but also the oldest bridge in the city which is still used today by pedestrians and flanked by numerous jewelry shops. As you cross the Arno river arrive at the Pitti Palace, one of the best examples of Renaissance palaces. Overnight in Florence.

Day 5 - Florence

Today, be totally immersed in the art of Michelangelo, as your guide introduces you to his most renowned masterpiece, the David, along with other important works, such as his Prisoners, St. Matthew and the Palestrina Pietà at the Accademia Gallery. Once the guided tour is over, you can stay on in the museum to explore a little further on your own. Overnight in Florence.

Day 6 - Florence

You can’t leave Florence without visiting one of the most famous art galleries in the world, the Uffizi Gallery, where you can follow the development of Christian painting. Admiring some of the most renowned works by Cimabue, Giotto, Masaccio, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raffaello and many others. The guided tour ends at the Uffizi Terrace where you can enjoy an amazing and exclusive view of the City’s most important monuments. Once the guided tour is over, one can stay on in the museum, to explore a bit further on one’s own. Overnight in Florence.

Day 7 - Florence

This morning meet your driver at the hotel and reach the charming town of Lucca in just over one hour. Lucca is a walled city with Roman origins and boasts a very well-preserved historical center, perfect for walking. Among the main historical sites are the Piazza dell’Anfiteatro which takes place from the ancient Roman amphitheater, San Michele Church, the Basilica of San Frediano and Giunigi tower. If you feel like being more active we suggest you rent bicycles and ride around the perimeter of the ancient walls. Lunch is on your own but your escort will be able to point you to a typical trattoria and taste specialties, such as tortelli lucchesi or spelt soup. Return to Florence in the evening. Day 8 - Florence

Begin your day shopping at the Florence Market followed by a traditional Tuscan cooking class. With this course you can learn to cook a typical Tuscan meal. Under the expert guidance of the chef, you will visit the Florence historic market, where you will select the organic ingredients that you will then use to prepare a four-course meal (starter, first course, second course and dessert) in a top class cookery school. The course will be followed by lunch with the dishes you have prepared, accompanied by a good Tuscan wine. Overnight in Florence.

Day 9 - Florence

Make the most of your trip with an exclusive tour of the Florence Cathedral with an exclusive opening of its terrace! The tour begins with a guided visit of the interiors of the magnificent Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral and its panoramic north terrace. Then, you will have the chance to get to one of the exclusive terraces of the Cathedral to enjoy a first row-seat on the magnificent scenery surrounding you. At the end of the guided tour, you can continue your visit on your own. Overnight in Florence.

Day 10 - Florence to Rome

After breakfast, check out of your hotel. Your driver will be waiting for you in the hotel lobby for your transfer to the Florence Train Station.

Board your high speed train from Florence to Rome

Upon arrival to Rome Train Station, your driver will be waiting for you for your transfer to your accommodation.

This afternoon your guide will meet you at your hotel for a guided tour of the historical center of Rome. You will visit the Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. The rest of the afternoon can be spent at your leisure, to enjoy the eternal city. Overnight in Rome.

Day 11 - Rome

After breakfast, meet your guide for your tour of the Colosseum. One of Rome’s main historic landmarks is among the most famous monuments in the world. It was used for gladiatorial fights, wild animal hunts and with the arena filled with water, simulated sea battles. The Palatine Hill is where the city of Rome was founded and the place that became the most exclusive neighborhood where emperors and patrician families built opulent palaces. The Roman Forum was for centuries the center of Roman public and economic life, where the most important structures of the ancient city were located. Overnight in Rome.

Day 12 - Rome

This morning, meet your guide for a tour of the Vatican Museums with its immense collection built up by the Popes throughout the centuries. The itinerary includes the Pio Clementino Hall, the Laocoon and Apollo Belvedere, the Maps Gallery, the Candelabra Gallery, the Tapestries Gallery and the Sistine Chapel. From the Museum you will exit directly into St Peter’s Basilica, the most important Christian Church in the world. The tour ends in St. Peter’s Square, dominated by Michelangelo’s imposing Cupola and surrounded by the famous Bernini’s double Colonnade. Overnight in Rome.

Day 13 - Rome

This morning meet your guide for your tour of the Borghese Gallery. Known as the sovereign of all private art collections, the gallery was formed by Cardinal Scipione Borghese and is housed in a magnificent 17th century villa. You will admire, masterpieces by artists such as Raphael, Caravaggio, Titian, Bernini as well as Canova’s world-famous sculpture of Pauline Bonaparte, Napoleon’s sister. Continue then with a pleasant stroll through the Borghese Park and the Pincio Terrace with its breathtaking view of Piazza del Popolo. Overnight in Rome.

Day 14 - Rome Departure

After breakfast check out of your hotel. Your driver will be waiting for you in the hotel lobby for your transfer to Rome Fiumicino Airport. Arrivederci!
