Relais Il Canalicchio is set like a precious gem at the top of a hill in the heart of green Umbria region. It is an oasis of peace surrounded by countryside with olive groves, vineyards and cultivated fields. An ambitious renovation project of the ancient hamlet of Canalicchio surrounding a 10th/11th century castle known as Castello di Poggio which dominates the area with its imposing tower. The Relais consists of two areas: the Borgo Resort, with 30 rooms located in the main building and in the adjacent block, finely refurbished and decorated with an original design blending the so-called “English style” – featuring painting furniture, wallpapers, framed prints and artwork – with precious pieces of local handicraft such as the Deruta pottery production. The Country Resort is located right at the entrance of the hamlet of Canalicchio, at about 300 feet from the Reception situated in the Borgo Resort. It is immersed in a luxuriant garden and consists of a 2-storey building. The Country Resort offers accommodation in 16 spacious Country Superior Dependance, each one with independent entrance.
