Our small group trips are crafted with the
aim of providing you with the most enjoyable
travel experience available. We focus on
special leisure interests for travelers who prefer
a more intimate view of the landscape,
whether it be cultural, gastronomic, artistic
or scenic.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Arts & Leisure Tours (A&L) is licensed in Ontario (registration #4617965 and #04175246). A&L makes arrangements with airlines, coach companies, transfer operators, hotels and other independent parties to provide you with the travel services and other services you purchase. Although A&L takes great care in selecting these suppliers, A&L is unable to and does not have any control over them and therefore cannot be responsible for their acts or omissions. The travel services provided are subject to the Travel Industry Act (Ont.) and Regulations thereunder and are subject to the conditions imposed by the suppliers and their liability is limited by their tariffs, conditions of carriage, tickets and vouchers and international conventions and agreements. A&L shall not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury, whether physical or mental, resulting from any delay, substitution of equipment, or any act, omission, negligence or commission of any party supplying any of the services or accommodation herein, its agents, servants, employees, subcontractors, or for any claims for such loss, damage or injury, whether physical or mental, arising therefrom, or from any cause that arises by reason of actions or parties other than A&L, including any acts of terrorism or acts of war. A&L reserves the right to decline any passenger as a member of these tours at any time. A&L has the right to cancel or modify a tour or travel service you have purchased by substituting services or varying the itinerary. In the event of a cancellation, our liability will be limited to the purchase price of the travel service only and we shall not be liable for any claims, demands, losses and damages of any nature or kind whatsoever you may have by reason of our modification to or cancellation of the travel service.
CANCELLATION
Notice of cancellation must be confirmed to A&L in writing stating the reason for the cancellation. Cancellation charges are as follows: 90 days or more prior to departure: deposit paid; 89 to 60 days prior to departure: 50% of the trip price; 59 days or less prior to departure:100% of the trip price. Any change made in travel arrangements after written confirmation is subject to a $50 service charge. Any change in name or departure date may constitute a cancellation for which penalties may apply.
PRICES
All prices quoted are in Canadian or USA dollars unless otherwise stated. Prices are current at time of printing although they are subject to change without notice. Prices are dependent on fuel costs, rates of exchange and other factors. Should these costs increase, A&L reserves the right to increase the price. Should the price increase greater than 7%, the client has the right to cancel the contract for travel service and obtain a full refund of all amounts paid to A&L, unless the price increase is the result of government taxation or a fuel surcharge. All transatlantic fares quoted are based on specific promotional fares subject to change and government approval. Airfares are not guaranteed until paid in full and tickets issued.
RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENTS
For bookings made between 60 days and departure, full payment is due immediately. For bookings made more than 60 days from departure, a non refundable deposit (plus applicable insurance premium) is due at the time of booking and the balance is due no less than 60 days from departure. Air carriers may require a further non refundable deposit to guarantee the reservation or may require full payment at the time of booking. Property rentals have specific deposit conditions. When using a credit card to confirm a booking, the passenger and /or cardholder gives their consent to A&L to utilize their credit card information for payment. No refunds will be given for unused portions of your package.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION
It is the passenger’s responsibility to obtain, at his own expense, all documentation required by all relevant government authorities. In the event that the passenger does not obtain the required documentation, he/she will be denied boarding by the air carrier or refused entry into the country of destination. No refunds will be made under such circumstances.
HOTELS
Passengers should be aware that hotels and services vary according to different living standards in various countries. Hotels are classified by industry standards and local government ratings. Arts & Leisure Tours reserves the right to make substitutions with hotels of similar or higher ratings. In such cases, amenities may vary. Passengers should be aware that single rooms in many countries while assuring privacy are generally small. Arts & Leisure Tours offers double rooms for single use, however single rooms are available on request.
TRIP INSURANCE
A&L strongly urges passengers to purchase comprehensive insurance prior to departure. Should a passenger not wish to purchase such, he /she will be asked to confirm in writing that he/she has declined insurance coverage. Please request a full description of coverage offered.
NOTICE TO ALL TRAVELERS
Travelers should be aware that different living
standards and practices may exist outside
of Canada or the USA including but not
limited to: provision of utilities; services of
all kinds; food; food preparation; water quality.
A&L shall not be responsible for any
loss, damage or injury resulting from different
living standards. A&L has the right to
cancel or modify a tour or travel service you
have purchased by substituting services or
varying the itinerary. In the event of a cancellation,
our liability will be limited to the
purchase price of the travel service only and
we shall not be liable for any claims,
demands, losses and damages of any nature
or kind whatsoever you may have by reason
of our modification to or cancellation of the
travel service. |
