Discover the enchanting island of Sicily on Italy's southernmost tip. Explore fantastic
ancient ruins and architectural wonders, stroll though vibrant and colourful towns,
sample delicious local fare and capture the stunning rugged and glorious sun drenched
panoramas.

Day 1 - Palermo Independent transfer

Upon arrival in Palermo, transfer from the airport to your hotel. This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2 - Palermo/Monreale
Explore vibrant Palermo, famous for its history, art and Arab influence. Spend the morning walking through the old centre, visiting the lovely Capo Market. Continue on to the Massimo Theatre Square, the Palatine Chapel with the Hall of King Roger II, the Four Corners and the Pretoria Square with it beautiful fountain. In the afternoon, explore Monreale and admire the stunning gold mosaics in the Cathedral. B

Day 3 - Cefalu/Piazza Armerina/Taormina
Armerina/Taormina Head on to the charming beach resort town of Cefalu. Visit the city centre and stroll along the main street to admire the splendid Norman Cathedral with its spectacular mosaics. Later drive through the beautiful interior of the island to reach Piazza Armerina and tour the remains of the intriguing Roman Villa del Casale. Continue across the island to the paradise town of Taormina for a three night stay. B-D

Day 4 - Catania/Syracuse/ Taormina
Journey on to multicultural Catania, “The Black Pearl of Sicily”, which lies in the ominous shadow of Mt Etna. Then onward to Syracuse, the most captivating Greek town of Sicily, to explore the picturesque island of Ortygia. During the afternoon discover the baroque city centre, the magnificent Archaeological Park with its ancient 5th Century BC Greek Theatre, the Roman Ampitheatre and the Paradise Quarry before returning to Taormina. B-L

Day 5 - Taormina
Spend the day at your leisure exploring this pretty resort town.Wander down the main street Corso Umberto I to take in the sites, visit the impressive open air Roman-Greek Theatre to capture the great views of the coast and across to Mt Etna or enjoy one of the many optional day trips offered. B

Day 6 - Caltagirone/Agrigento

This morning head into central Sicily to reach Caltagirone, famous for its pottery and ceramics. Enjoy some free time to pick up some local handicrafts before continuing on to historic Agrigento to explore the famous Greek Valley of the Temples with its stunning architecture. After dinner enjoy an evening tour to admire the unforgettable spectacle of the illuminated Temples. B-D

Day 7 - Selinunte/Salt Way Road/Erice

Way Road/Erice Travel on to Segesta, one of the major cities of the Elymian people, one of the three indigenous peoples of the Sicily in the southwest coast. Be drawn back in time as you explore the abandoned ancient Greek city including the famous doric emple.
Continue to scenic Trapani along the SaltWay Road to view the charming windmills, beautiful vistas, and famous vineyards. Indulge in a delicious light lunch to sample local specialities. In the afternoon, ascend to the hilltops of Erice, a small medieval village with ancient Greek origins. B-L

Day 8 - Palermo
After breakfast transfer back to the airport for your departure. B
